1 Bush Plaza--for E.C.
This post is sort of a continuation of the last one involving a building I fancy in downtown San Francisco. E.C. mentioned that the image of the building I had posted would not load for her, so I thought I'd share these images in the hopes that they do load!
The area around the structure is less lush than what is shown above, but not too far off from what the artist conceived.
The structure sort of reminds me of a carousel. :D

Thank you so much. It does load, and does indeed look like a carosel. A fascinating concept. Shame about the missing lushness though.
ReplyDeleteAlso of note: The outside area of 1 Bush Plaza contains no seating. One may walk through the space, but none are encouraged to stay for any length of time. :(
DeleteWhat is the intent of the building?
ReplyDeleteThe pavilion was initially meant to house a trust company which then merged with Wells Fargo Bank. As for why the architects created such an interesting piece for a trust company, I cannot say. I suppose having glass walls might lead one to think of transparency, so trust? My internet search on the subject didn't yield much.
