I was at work the day that these folks assembled at Ocean Beach in *ahem* honor of Drumpf's birthday (aka Flag Day here in the US). Two women came into the shop in the afternoon and shared that they had participated in the human lettering event (-don't know what else to call it). We high-fived at their beach action and then they purchased a French paring knife.
In other news, big boy Bartie sat on my lap last night. He never does this, so I think he was desperate for some extra kibble after dinner. For the record, I am not starving him, but the vet did recently mention that Bart could stand to lose a wee bit of weight. We have been tightly monitoring his portions and Bartie is now a bit 'hangry' most evenings.
Nice image on the beach. Glad to see it.

Deleteawwww lovely cat, looks like he has a moustache on his nose, have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHe's a beaut. And, yes, he wears a lopsided mustache. :D
DeleteHow cool you got to meet 2 folks who participating in the beach thing. LOVE that people got together to do it. Your cat looks huge! Agree with the poster above who said he looked like he had a mustache, lol.

Yes, they were fun to talk to and I was happy to have met them. Bart's name derives from the German word for mustache. :)
DeleteI was impressed when I saw the Ocean Beach gathering. It felt impactful & thoughtful. Well done! Poor Bartie, he's a handsome guy either way.
ReplyDeleteBartie is a handsome fella, yes. OB has been the site for so many gatherings of this nature and I am glad.
DeleteWe have Houdi the Robust. He has supper. More often than not, we will catch him helpfully finishing up Fred's left overs. Since he is so very robust, his second supper is removed which causes a lot of noise. Usually, Fred comes back to the dish later. Now we have a feral who comes in late at night nervous at something out there in the dark. We feed him and he tucks himself away in the basement for the night. Houdi comes running, hopeful for a bit of a third supper. He gets set into the basement until Tiger finishes every last bit. The basement door is opened and Houdi makes a run for the cat dish. Tiger makes a run for his hiding spot. Routines are important, don't you think?
