Slowly learning...

After 8 months of living in Zürich I have finally figured out one salient fact that will improve my pastime of hot beverage drinking.

It is this:

Milch Drink is actually reduced-fat milk.  My initial shopping trips were spent looking for 'fettarme Milch' that I never found, so I stupidly assumed that one could only buy whole milk in CH.  Haha, the joke is on me.  I was incorrectly comparing how we in the states use the word 'drink' in conjunction with beverages.

For example, a 'juice drink' back home could contain very little actual juice and a ton of high-fructose corn syrup.  Juice it ain't, so I never purchased any.  'Milch Drink', I incorrectly thought, must be as icky as our 'juice drink', so I gave it a wide berth.  Were it not for my finally asking a Swiss acquaintance whether one could find reduced-fat milk here, then I probably never would have realised that there is a wee selection to be had when purchasing milk products in CH.

Sweetend OJD...if it were actual orange juice, then it would not need to be sweetened, fyi.

    1. I'm glad to hear that real juice is still on the supermarket shelves. :)

Things are dandy over in this part of the world, D. How goes it with you and yours?
